Europe: Exotic Desserts at a Glance

There are many luscious desserts in the European Continent and we at
Foodmall have tried our best to cover the most popular desserts in
Europe. In this post I am trying to give a round-up of desserts, which
more or less deserved to have an elaborate presentation. Nevertheless,
they are an icing on the European Dessert fiesta and if I have missed
any I would be pleased to be reminded by you, even better would be to
have the recipe of your choice from you.

The desserts around the European continent are as follows:

1. Flan: Flan is a very popular dessert in Europe and America, but Spain is the place where it originated. Flan
is made by pouring egg, milk and cream mixture into a caramelized tin.
This has a caramelized crust after baking or steaming and tastes
wonderful with a cream and fruit topping.

2. This dessert Chocolate Yule Log: has a symbolic value for Northern Europe and it has come from burning
log in the time of Christmas. It does take time to make the recipe but
believe me it is quite easy. You need to take care with filling,
assimilation and frosting the cake. You can follow the link in Cook’s
recipe to get a hang of this huge log.

3. Budino al Cioccolato: This is a kind of chocolate pudding
made in Italy and is quite creamy and chocolaty. This dessert uses
yolks, sugar, ricotta cheese and melted chocolate, blending it with
cream and then frosting them with cocoa and coffee beans.

4. Sticky Yogurt Cake: This cake
is the most authentic dessert in greece and is the most luscious
dessert that I have ever come across with yogurt cake served with a
sticky raisin syrup. The most exciting balance that would have been
close to wine if it would not have been poached raisin syrup. The cake
is made in the normal way with an extra addition of honey while beating
eggs and sugar and then adding into it yogurt-butter mixture. The
recipe.

5. Apple Tart: Apple Tart made in Spain and France is quite simple but when served at snack-time prove to be a wonderful accompaniment to coffee and tea.

6. Pears in dessert Wine: I really admire the simplicity of desserts made in Spain and the example of one such dessert is Pears cooked in dessert wine and another dessert where pears are cooked in red wine. Simple and Sophisticated
