Ex-Steeller, Jerome Abram Bettis opens ‘Tuesday’

Jerome Abram Bettis, the 36-year-old former Pittsburgh Steelers star has opened a new restaurant, Tuesday in the DelMonte Building near Heinz Field, with former and current Steelers. The new restaurant will open for public on Wednesday, June 6.

Tuesday was visited by many guests that included Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, former Steelers Kordell Stewart and Mike Logan, Steelers President Art Rooney II and former Titans running back Eddie George.

Bettis worked with Ft. Lauderdale-based Celebrity Ventures Inc. and developed the eatery and nightspot that features a signature “Jerome 36-ounce Steak”, 36 different martinis, 36 different beers and 36 different vodkas, in honor of the number he wore on his Steelers jersey.The casual dining spot also features a football-shaped bar, 56 flat-screen TVs and a 150-seat patio overlooking the city’s downtown worked.

The eatery is across the street from where Three Rivers Stadium once stood. Bettis played the first five years of his 10 seasons with the Steelers at the stadium, which was demolished in 2001.

Bettis is ranked fifth on the National Football League’s all-time rushing list. He retired in 2006 after a Super Bowl victory.
