The 3rd of April this year allegedly saw supermodel Naomi Campbell in a scuffle with a couple of police officers on a BA flight bound to Los Angeles from terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport London. She was charged with six offences at the time she answered bail at the Heathrow police station.
According to CPS, the 38 year old star model of the early nineties faces three counts of assaulting a constable that lands her up in prison for six months along with a monetary penalty of £5000. She has also earned a count for disorderly conduct (that can result in harassment, alarm or distress) for which she has to pay a fine of £2500. She is also ???awarded??? with a couple of counts for using abusive language and behavior against the cabin crew for which she has to face a penalty of a maximum of £1,000. She was made aware of the charges when she visited the Heathrow police station to answer bail at 11:30 BST.
According to the Crown Prosecution Service, the Freedom! ???90 star will be appearing at Uxbridge Magistrate???s Court on the 20th of June. According to attorney Simon Nicholls, his supermodel client was very disappointed about the charges. The owner of the perfume company Design House of Naomi Campbell expected to get over with the process in a speedy and efficient manner.
Unfortunately, Naomi Campbell has a long history of violence to her credit. It started in 2000 when she was charged of assaulting her then assistant Georgina Galanis in 1998. The next time was in 2005 when she slapped yet another assistant, Amanda Brack and beat her with a Blackberry personal organizer. Italian star Yvonne Scio alleged that Campbell left her smeared with blood after an altercation at a Rome hotel. In 2006, it was Naomi???s housekeeper who allegedly became the target of her ire and got hit by her with a jewel-encrusted mobile phone. The same year saw Naomi facing charges for assaulting Gaby Gibson( yet another housekeeper of hers) who ???awarded??? her the title of a ???violent super-bigot???. In 2007 it was her maid Ana Scolavino who was the subject of reckless assault by Campbell.
Such a record of violence is sure to taint the character of this otherwise multi-faceted supermodel, singer and novelist. She introduced a lot of perfumes like Naomi Campbell and Naomagic and the very recent Cat Deluxe at Night. She is also known to have a lesser publicized tender side to her that is evidenced by the valuable charitable contributions that she made along with Nelson Mandela for the Sub-Saharan Africa.
