Rock band ‘Fall Out Boy‘ has ruled out that they will venture into making of an acoustic album. Speaking in an interview with MTV, they made it very clear that their upcoming album will not be folk based.

Currently working on the recordings, they are unsure when will they be able to wind up the project. At the moment, the four dudes are in the initial stage of making their new album and described it as ‘first trimester’.

Talking about the circulating rumors of the folk album lead vocalist Patrick Stump said:

“There was something that got misconstrued. Guitarist) Pete (Wentz) was saying something about folk music, and I was saying something about folk music.”

But he also looked as if he is interested in using folk lyrics or may go for ‘rap-rock’ and added:

“I don’t know if that’s really going to be an influence.”

Stump has also promised to give the fans an altogether different music experience, as he assured that their new album won’t be the same as ‘Infinity on High’.

The bands’ latest album released in Feb. 2007 was Infinity on High, which was No.1 and sold 260,000 copies in its first week. The band still promoting it, performed at the Live Earth concerts on July 7, and participated in the Honda Civic Tour this year. Recently they performed at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9 in support of their fourth studio album ‘Infinity on High’.
