When will Amy Winehouse learn to keep her words? On July 4, thousands of her fans flocked to her concert and braving the rain they waited for the singer but Amy failed to perform and after hours of wait music lovers were told that the singer is too ill to perform.

I fail to understand, when would people like Winehouse learn that they can’t afford to disappoint their fans because if they behave like this then they should be ready to bear the dire consequences of their irresponsible actions.

For the concert a huge crowd of some 4,500 fans had gathered who had paid £24 and queued in the rain to watch her perform. But just 15 minutes before her performance, it was announced that she is too ill to perform.

Sophie Appleton, 19, a fan said:

We heard her rehearsing and she seemed fine.

Sophie’s boyfriend Paddy Redmond, 19, added:

We took two trains and a taxi here. It should come out of Amy’s wages.

Chas Cole, spokesman for Summer Pops concerts in Liverpool justified Winehouse as he informed everybody that the she has canceled the show after being seen by doctors backstage and said:

It’s regrettable.

Amy’s fan should remember that she is quite used to such excuses, as it is not the first time Amy has let down her fans.

Earlier in March, the 23-year-old singer had postponed two performances at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire at the last minute, indicating a mysterious illness. But as a matter of fact, she was spotted and pictured buying alcohol in a supermarket earlier the same day.

Amy’s Liverpool gig has been rescheduled for July 18.
