Recently, the Fonterra Brands won 32 awards in the New Zealand Ice Cream Manufacturers Association’s awards function held at Rutherford Heritage Hotel, Nelson on 21 May 2006. Amidst 185 entries and 9 categories, Kapiti Fine Foods’ lemon meringue pie from the premium category won the Supreme Award. Fonterra Brand’s Tip Top bagged gold in the standard chocolate ice cream category. To add to reports and the delight of Fonterra is an overall sweepstake of 25 silver and 7 gold medals in one of the highly competitive Ice Cream awards.
