Food groups target obesity crisis, develop food ingredients to trigger satiety

Top Institute Food and Nutrition (TIFN), funded by the Dutch government and food groups like CSM Anglo-Dutch Unilever are reportedly developing food ingredients that could not only reduce obesity and help people eat less, but also prevent obese from developing diabetes.

Facts provided claim that the food nutrients will have diverse applicability in foodstuffs with flexibility to be used from breads to beverages, spreads to sauces and other food stuffs. Further claims go on to add satiety, flavor and nutrients from the food ingredients along with being a breakthrough in the health aisle of food industry.

Though TIFN authorities decline to give the product details of the food ingredients, yet there remains a possibility of the ingredients falling into the category of low-glycemic index foods, which are reportedly lower in calories and fats, but higher in fibers.

However, if they are low-glycemic index foods, then there are lots in the market, but the food ingredients could be really helpful if they can find in the food profile of facts foods and snacks.

Fast foods and snacks are highly consumed by the Americans due to their busy lifestyles, and if convenient foods and cereals can be improvised by the food ingredients then that might affect the obesity crisis in America.
