Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown gave birth to a daughter at St. John’s hospital in Santa Monica, California.
Her publicist Nadine Bibi said that the 5lb 4oz baby was born just after midnight. She said in an email sent to AP:
Baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting. No name has been decided on as yet, and (she) is purely known as Baby Brown!
According to Melanie, ex-lover Eddie Murphy is the father of the child. But the 46-year-old Daddy Day Care star said he’s not so sure.
Melanie, 31, was a member of the megahit 90’s group Spice Girls and was formerly known as the Scary Spice. She already has an eight-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi, from her 15-month marriage to Jimmy Gulzar. Jimmy and Brown divorced in 2000.
