Al Gore III, the son of former US Vice President Al Gore was arrested on July 4. Al gore III was found carrying illegal drugs and prescription drugs in Orange County. A sheriff’s deputy stopped 24-year-old when he was speeding at some 100 mph on a freeway south of Los Angeles, in the wee hours of morning.

The deputy smelled the marijuana, which made him search his Toyota Prius car. Subsequently he found a small amount of marijuana with prescription drugs that included Valium, Xanax, Vicodin and Adderall. The youngster did not have any prescription for the drugs.

Sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said:

Gore was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and booked into the Inmate Reception Center in Santa Ana.

It was not the first time that Gore was booked under some offence. In August 2000, he was issued a ticket by the North Carolina Highway Patrol when he was driving 97 mph in a 55-mph zone. In 2003 he was arrested for possessing marijuana and once again in 2002 for suspected driving under influence.

Gore was booked on four charges that included possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of the drugs without a prescription. He was released on $20,000 bail after 12 hours.
