The wedding bells would be ringing for the fourth time for Channel 4 presenter Des O’Connor. As he would be marrying singer-songwriter Jodie Brooke Wilson, who has been his partner for the last 17 years. O’Connor is considered one of the world most famous and loved entertainers and his show Countdown is known for its class. It was in 1963 that he lunched his first television series in the UK.
75-year-old O’Connor and his fiancee Jodie Brooke Wilson, 38, already have a two-year-old son, Adam. O’Connor has four daughters from his previous three marriages and even they are expected to attend the wedding party.
O’Connor said:
We are both romantics and can’t wait to share this day with the people we love. Nobody can say we rushed into it. We know we will be together always. I can’t imagine life without Jodie and Adam. It won’t make any difference to our lives together. But I know Jodie will feel more comfortable saying my husband rather than my partner. And I will always be proud to introduce Jodie as my wife.
The wedding will take place during Christmas holidays in Wilson’s native town in Australia.
