A fresh wave of rumors has hit the internet that Slumdog Millionaire beauty Freida Pinto has finally grabbed the role of the Bond Girl opposite Daniel Craig in the next 007 movie by Sam Mendes. However, the 24-year-old dusky babe has once again left her fans sighing and panting by rubbishing the reports in plain words. So guys, Freida is still no Bond babe.
Freida’s spokesperson has issued a statement to India’s NDTV,
I would like to confirm that as of today, Freida Pinto has not been approached to be part of the next Bond film. It is of course very flattering to even be rumoured to be part of a Bond film but she has certainly not been approached for the role of the next Bond girl opposite Daniel Craig as yet.
I know it’s kind of disappointing for an average Freida Pinto fan, but there’s also a bright side attached to it. Last time when she struck gold with Slumdog Millionaire, she ditched one smalltime guy for Dev Patel. And my gut is nudging me that once her Bond flick hits the screens, Dev will be the one playing the role of that smalltime guy. Congrats Dev, you are saved for the time being!
