As the whole world is gearing up for Prince William and Kate Middleton???s fairytale wedding, George William is not going to be left behind in this excitement. After posting his excitement of making a tune for the wedding in Twitter, George Michael has gone ahead and recorded his version of Stevie Wonder???s 1972 classic ??? You and I. It is known to all that George Michael shared a congenial and close rapport with the Late Princess Diana, and recording this song has paid the fitting tribute to an affectionate friendship at a jubilant occasion such as this.

According to the TorontoSun, George Michael unraveled his latest song at CNN???s Piers Morgan Tonight show on Friday. An excited Michael remarked:

The idea came to me last week… that I should perhaps kinda express my happiness at this marriage, in a way, publicly. It was an April day that happened to be like summer here in London and I was twittering and kinda got carried away and decided I was gonna make them (William and Kate) a new track… by Friday, so I’ve had a very busy week.

He further adds:

It’s not just a gift for them (royal couple), it’s a gift that they’ll be able to turn into many, many donations for the RoyalWeddingCharityFund.org, which is where they’ve asked people to give money rather than send presents. I would really like for any of my fans or anybody who really enjoys this track, if they’re gonna download it for free… I would love them to go to Kate and William’s charity site and make a donation if they’re genuinely happy for these two people, which I think a lot of people are.

George Michael has hit the right notes by not just recording a fitting fine song for the royal couple but also his charitable virtues remind us more of Princess Di at this hour. The royal couple would certainly be delighted by this timeless melody and graciously accept this gift from a dear friend of the late Princess.
