‘Glee’ set for ‘fun fun fun fun’ with Rebecca Black’s Friday

We have to accept that Rebecca Black is a star in her own small way. And by small, I mean her age only because her popularity is small by no means, what with even Glee being all set to cover Black???s viral single ???Friday???. Yes, you heard it right. McKinley High School is gearing up for some ???fun, fun, fun, fun??? on a ???Friday???, so it is being said.

In the past, the cast of Glee has covered many artistes from Amy Winehouse to Lady Gaga. Now for a prom-based episode, the musical television series will tap the infamous song belted out by Black, where she is confused whether to sit in the front or the back of a friend???s convertible. So whose vocals will be spicing up ???Friday??? for Glee?

OK! reports,

Not female members of New Directions, the song all about fun and ‘partyin??? partyin??? yeah’ will be covered by Kevin McHale(Artie), Chord Overstreet (Sam) and Mark Salling (Puck).

Now that is some twist! We all want to know what these three big boys will be making out of a teenage doll???s girly number, don???t we?

As for Rebecca Black, unkind comments that her debut invited seem to have paled down in front of the ever-increasing hits her video gets. It could be said that the harsh criticism of the lyrics got more and more people to check out the song. This week the total number of views crossed the 100 million mark. And now that Glee is doing a cover of her song, I am sure the teenager???s song will only grab more eyeballs and ears, too. Does that make you gleeful, Miss Black?

Till Glee comes up with its version, below is the original by Rebecca Black.
