Grammys couldn’t fade away the charm of American Idol, as according to preliminary estimates that about 28.3 million people preferred to watch American Idol in comparison with 15.1 million who tuned into Grammys.
American Idol was on air during 8 to 9 pm, and some rocking performers including John Legend, Madonna, U2 and Coldplay who performed during that one hour couldn’t compel TV viewers to change the channel. After 9, some more people tuned into Grammys and the final average reached some where around 17.6 million.
