I am really happy that the British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has slammed the skiwear4less.com???s ski helmet ad featuring late actress Natasha Richardson’s pictures. Richardson died after she received traumatic brain injury in a fatal skiing accident in Canada.
Ad watchdogs have criticized the email ad that cashed Richardson???s death by giving a message to skiers to wear helmet to prevent similar tragedies. ASA further said that companies must deal with sensitive events with more care. For breaching CAP code, ASA banned the ski helmet commercial.
Thanks God at least someone realized that using a dead person to advertise was completely unethical and wrong.
