Hollywood celebs join Imprisoned Burmese Leader, Aung San Suu Kyi

Hollywood celebs, James Cameron, Demi Moore, George Clooney and David Beckham and many more have joined the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and President Barack Obama in the campaign to free Burma’s imprisoned democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, who is currently on trial for breaking the terms of her house arrest.

The website 64forsuu.org created to celebrate the Nobel Peace Prize winner’s 64th birthday on June 19 and to give voice to her international supporters is the first political campaign to use twitter and influence world’s most famous celebs.

James Cameron, wrote his 64 words message as:

Aung San Suu Kyi is a hero of mine because she stands up for human rights and dignity for the people of Burma, and for all people. I admire her because the heroes of many of the movies that I make stand up against injustice. While my heroes are fictional, Aung San Suu Kyi is a real-life hero, and she needs help from you.
