Those who were shocked by Scott Siegel’s highly-convincing portrayal of a steroid dealer in the Oscar-nominated flick The Wrestler are in for some more shock. The 34-year-old actor was charged yesterday with being a steroid dealer in real life! He was ordered held without bail on federal drug dealing and assault charges.
Siegel, who was under surveillance as part of a steroid-trafficking investigation, was spotted getting out of his car carrying a brown box outside his parent’s town house in Westchester County. However, the arrest was not that simple. In pure Hollywood style, the police were able to nab Siegel after a very hard chase and some damaged vehicles. The police have seized 1,500 bottles of anabolic steroids and huge amount of money in cash from Siegal’s home and that of his parents.
It seems the thirst for casting natural actors has catapulted the Hollywood directors to a whole new level. They have started hiring real life professionals to play a part in their movies! So, what’s next? A real-life terrorist with real gun, or a real prostitute with real assets?!
