  • Crush about two quarts of ice and put some rock salt in it, now you will have to place this ice into a gallon bag.
  • Now place the freezer bag into the gallon bag that has ice in it. Ensure that both the bags are sealed properly.
  • Shake the two bags gently for about 15-20 minutes so that the ingredients inside the freezer bag turn into solid ice cream. Be sure that you are not applying too much of pressure while shaking as that might lead to rupture of the inner bag.
  • Take out the freezer bag from the gallon bag. Enjoy your ice cream.

2. Freezer method

This is a method for making custard based smooth ice cream. It will also need more time to make this ice cream. The wait is however worth the taste.

  • Pour this mixture into an ice tray, plastic bowl, stainless steel bowl or a dish that works well in a freezer.
  • Put the dish inside the freezer for about half hour, take it out when it starts freezing at the edges and stir it thoroughly. You must break all the ice crystals inside the mixture to get a smooth ice cream.
  • Repeat this process every 30 minutes till it gets completely frozen into a smooth ice cream. The ice cream will take about 3 hours to be ready for consumption.
