A lawyer in India was offended with the kissing scene in recently released Dhoom2 so he filed a case against actors Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.
Advocate Shailendra Dwivedi said,
Bollywood actors are conveying vulgarity in the society. These films cannot be watched with our families, they are so vulgar at times.
Advocate Dwivedi filed a petition in the court of judicial magistrate first class R K Batham under sections 292 (vulgarity) and 509 (derogatory to women) of the IPC.
The court has fixed December 11 for recording evidence in the case.
Advocate Dwivedi found a kissing scene shown in Dhoom 2 obscene and vulgar which lowered the dignity of Indian women.
Well I have seen the movie and I didn’t find anything obscene and derogatory in that scene. And this is not for the first time that such a scene has been pictured in Indian films. Even in the era of 1970’s kissing scenes were shown in many films and today living in 21st century saying that a kissing scene is promoting vulgarity sounds absurd.
When Susan (wife of Hrithik Roshan) has no problem with his kissing scene than I don’t think others should be bothered to make an issue of it.
