The American firm’s shrewd move to patent the medicines,unleashing the healing properties of turmeric, brings out in open paradoxes haunting the Western world.They first,in the guise of globalization ,uproot the cultural attributes of developing nations and then subject them to their corrupt lifestyles merged in flawed perceptions.For instance,the Indian medical landscape has become heavily dependent on antibiotics,numerous vague pathological tests , mainly triggered by faulty prescriptions and staunch belief which gives larger -than-life importance to the curative powers of modern medicines.
Had we ever bothered to honour the various legacies of our nation , which believed in the natural healing via Yogic and Aryuvedic treatment,we would not have succumbed to the lethal side-effects of modern medicines.The hope of revival of ancient perceptions ,sadly, have become remote,thanks to the demon called ‘secularism’ and venomous proclamations of the Leftists.
