There is already a number of Indians, who have a successful career in Hollywood; it seems that Hollywood is more open to actors of Indian origin already based in the US but not relay to actors how are living in India. Bollywood stars from India have had a tough time trying to make a break. Aishwarya Rai, the former Miss World and actress had been invited to the Cannes Film Festival as the brand ambassador of Loreal cosmetics. After this she was also asked to be a judge at the same event much later and starred in Pink Panther 2 along side Steve Martin and was also a guest on the Oprah Winfrey show.
Priyanka Chopra is currently making her mark with her album and has collaborated with rapper PitBull and Will.i.am, releasing two singles. She has managed to become the face of fashion brand Guess.
Mallika Sherawat had worked with Jackie Chan and her film Hiss was released in Cannes, but she did not make a very good impression.
