Is detaining Shah Rukh Khan at US airport racism?

US security checks are in question for a long time and are often accused for racism by the world for frisking the high profile foreign nationals. First it was the ex-Indian president, APJ Abdul Kalam, who was forced to go through the security check before boarding a US plane and now it is Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. Mr. Khan was detained and questioned by US security at Newark, New Jersey. Is it racism, particularly when the greats like Bob Dylan – a US citizen and celebrity – was detained and questioned in the same way? Is Shah Rukh Khan’s detention an issue worth such hype? Should we treat the Americans coming to India in the same way?
