Remember Kelly from ‘St. Trinian’s’, the movie about the madcap adventures of a group of unruly girls at a boarding school? Chances are that you don’t. However, there is no ignoring her now. The 22-year-old British actress Gemma Arterton is going to be the new Bond Girl, ‘Fields’, in the next Marc Forster-directed Bond movie, Bond 22, with Daniel Craig as James Bond, due to be released in November 2008.
She is currently filming in London for Columbia Pictures and MGM. She left another 1500 women lagging behind to bag the sizeable role. It is believed that her modern looks fit the vulnerable image of the new Bond Girl. She has been sworn to secrecy about the role till the cast is officially announced. The text message she sent to her mom informing of the offer kinda gave her away.
However, the rumor as to she has got only a small role in the movie is doing the rounds. A Latina actress has, in all probability, been cast for the lead role. We should be able to find out the facts in a couple of days.
