What do you see above? A 3 feet by 4 1/2 feet pizza, all set to enter the Guinness book of World Records as World’s Largest Pizza. This Pizza is made by Mama Lena’s Pizza House in McKeesRocks, Pa. This Pizza called as the ‘Big One’ has broken the previous record of 4-foot diameter pizza by Paul Revere’s Pizza in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, which uses 10 pounds of dough, 48 ounces of sauce and about five pounds of cheese. While reports reveal that the pizza offered by Mama Lena uses 20 pounds of dough, it’s a 1 gallon of sauce, 15 pounds of cheese. As per Rob Carrabbia, the owner’s husband:

It’s 20 pounds of dough, it’s a 1 gallon of sauce, 15 pounds of cheese and a lot of tender love and care. We cook the old fashion way, stone and cornmeal.

Well they have cooked it with love as the pizza took them an overall 40 minutes to prepare and cook. The ‘Big One’ has a big deal with $99 offering for 150 slices and one topping. Carrabbia said:

The only way you’re looking to order it is if you want a big pizza.

Well, if this is the largest the category has to be different from the one set by the Norwood Hypermarket with a pizza measuring 122 feet, eight inches in diameter, using 9,920 pounds of flour, 3,968 pounds of cheese and 1,984 pounds of sauce. Whatever might be the category at the end breaking previous records is all that matters and that will be decided by the video reordings of the pizza-making in the presence of an official.
