Is the (designer) cat out of the bag?

With the much talked about royal wedding scheduled today, St. James Palace is in no mood to let any secrets tumble out until the event is over. The media on their part, are sparing no efforts to get their hands on as much information as is possible. Just like any other celebrity wedding, the most asked about question this wedding is “Who designed the bride, Kate Middleton???s wedding dress?”

Though the strongest rumor in the media has been hinting at Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen being the wedding gown designer, she dismissed the claim during an interview with Vogue. Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO, Alexander McQueen too vehemently denied her label even being associated with it. However, the media as well as the royal fans are not convinced, especially since they saw a mysterious lady hiding her face in a fur hood check into the very hotel in Belgravia where Kate Middleton was to arrive shortly. And what???s adding fuel to this strong rumor is that this furtive lady who disappeared in a flash was wearing the very same over-sized fur hood that Burton had presented recently at the Paris Fashion Week. The silver studded belt in which the creative director is often spotted was also observed to be on the person of this “unidentified” lady.

However, considering that one and all associated with the royal wedding have been sworn to secrecy, there is nothing much that Sarah Burton or her label Alexander McQueen can do but deny the accusations. With Alexander McQueen???s signature being dramatic and striking gowns, the media and fans can only but keep speculating if Kate Middleton does sport one such gown on her big day.
