John Mayer’s not ready to commit to anyone as yet. It is this penchant of his that has led to his separation from his love interest for the latter half of last year, Minka Kelly. PEOPLE reports that the couple has broken up quietly over a month ago.
It is, however, reported the two are ‘still friends.’ It was the 30-year-old singer who initiated the split and the disappointed Kelly agreed cause she wanted a full commitment.
The split became confirmed as Mayer was seen partying with girls (including Cameron Diaz) in NY last month, while Kelly was in LA. Here’s what a pal of the 27-year-old Friday Night Lights actress told PEOPLE:
Minka told a couple friends that she and John had broken up but she really didn’t want to tell anyone.
John is notorious for dating his ex-interests (remember the saga with Jessica Simpson last year). And it would take us a lot more convincing before we can presume that this thing is really over. Ladies, don’t get your hopes up just yet!
