Popstar turned actor Mark Wahlberg is a very humble guy to admit that he doesn’t consider himself a sex symbol.
The Academy Awards nominated actor is known for his role of a pornstar in the 1997 flick Boogie Nights. His habit of stripping to his briefs and grabbing his crotch on stage during concerts even landed him a modelling offer for Calvin Klein underwears.
The 35-year-old hunk said:
It’s ridiculous that people call me a sex symbol. I don’t feel like that at all. My daughter would get a kick out of it – she’d find it very funny. I’ll take it though. I’m very humble. But it’s certainly not the way I feel.
Wahlberg is also loved for his impressive physique and a majority of his female fans consider him a sex symbol. Wahlberg has a 3-year-old daughter Ella and a one-year-old son Michael with his long term partner Rhea Durham. He gives great importance to his fatherhood as he says:
Fatherhood has changed me in every way shape or form, and all for the best.
Unlike other celebrities, Wahlberg is a contented 35-year-old, who likes the charm of old age, as Contact Music reports:
I welcome old age. I embrace getting older – I’m really comfortable right now. I’ve worked with a lot of people who get caught up in this.
The hunk is currently preparing for his new film The Fighter based on the life of boxing legend Mickey ‘Irish’ Ward.
