Jennifer Lawrence, it seems, is well on her way of becoming the next big star in Hollywood. The 20 year old actress is seem to be making waves in town with her acting abilities & sheer gorgeousness; which is always a deadly combination.
After much acclaimed performances in The Burning Plain & The Winter’s Bone, Lawrence will be starring in the upcoming X-Men: First Class, where she would be playing the role of Mystique. Praising Lawrence’s acting abilities director of the movie Matthew Vaughn said;
There are a lot of young American actors right now who haven’t got any technique, and to be blunt, a lot of these kids assume that just by having a good set of teeth and t*ts, smiling for the camera’s gonna be enough. I needed someone who could act
It has also been heard that Vaughn picked Lawrence for the role without even seeing any of her previous works; including her much acclaimed performance in last year’s Winter’s Bone. He solely relied on the audition tape & picked Lawrence for the role.
Some of the other upcoming projects Lawrence will be working on are The Hunger Games & The Beaver. In The Beaver she would be seen sharing screenspace with the likes of Mel Gibson & Jodie Foster in role of Norah. She would also be be working in the movie House at the End of the Street in the role of a young girl who befriends the only survivor of a bloodbath that took place across the street from her house. The movie also starring Elisabeth Shue, is slated for release in 2012.
With the way Jennifer Lawrence’s career is moving, it seems she is definitely not one of those everyday “dumb blondes” who hopes to make it big in Hollywood just by flaunting her curves. She has tremendous talent as far as acting abilities are concerned. All she has to do is focus on her work & make the right choices. It seems she is here to stay for a long time to come.
