Jennifer Lopez has finally grabbed a chair on American Idol‘s judging panel for the show???s upcoming 10th season. After a month filled with suspense and speculation, it is now clear and confirmed that J.Lo has bagged a whopping $12 million contract with Fox to be a part of the judging panel.

Lopez???s $12 million contract, which was first reported by Deadline.com, comes two weeks after DioGuardi confirmed she was leaving the show, following in the footsteps of both Simon Cowell and new judge Ellen DeGeneres. According to the report, Lopez was hoping for movie and TV development deals to accompany and even larger Idol salary as well as input about her new co-judges, but Fox made no commitments and she settled for a cool $12. ???She???s very excited,??? a source close to Lopez says of the final deal. Fox has no comment and a rep for Lopez did not return calls for comment.
Here’s a big congratulations to J.Lo for bagging the deal. And I seriously hope to see her sharing the judging panel with anyone from Shania Twain to Harry Connick Jr. to Elton John to Chris Isaak, but not Steven Tyler at any cost. I just can’t stand that Aerosmith guy. Go J.Lo!
