Recently, Nick Lachey lowered down the amount of divorce settlement to $5 million from $8 million. It was a clear indication that he is getting desperate for divorce, as he is in need of cash. Jessica’s family is trying to take advantage of this and has offered him 1.5 million to settle their divorce politely.
According to California Law, Nick is entitled to half of the money couple made during their marriage tenure. In 2004, Jessica alone earned $30 million and she is just offering peanuts to her soon to be ex hubby.
Reports claim that Jessica’s father is asking her to do so. Her father Joe Simpson called up Nick to agree to the offer so that both of them break off at a good note. Might be true as she doesn’t seem to be in the right mental state to think about all this stuff.
Nick is not asking for spousal support but he is simply not a fool who will agree to accept a meager $1.5 million.
