Jessica Simpson was last heard denying the rumors of trying hard to get a place at the table with Simon Cowell (American Idol???s ex-judge) for his new show called ???The X factor’ on Fox which showcases singing talent. Now things have taken a u-turn for Jessica as she???s trying hard to secure a judge???s role in the show and it seems most likely that she is amongst the short listed celebrities who might be considered for it!
Jessica???s general positive attitude makes her an instant hit amongst her fans and her remarkable talent adds to her overall persona- but the show requires must more than just judging ??? it requires a mentor, a guide who will monitor the performances of the contestants in terms of styling, singing and dancing and that???s a whole lot of work! However, Simon may take a few weeks in deciding the ???winner??? and is taking it slow and steady as the show is supposed to go on air this fall.

“There [are] loads of conversations happening at the moment,” says the source. “No one has been offered a judging role yet as new names keep coming forward who want the role, but there are some frontrunners and it’s fair to say Jessica is one of them. She’s very keen.” Simpson, 30, has the skills needed for this particular format, which features a $5 million recording contract as the grand prize, says the insider. Still, there are a lot of factors that go in to making the final choice.
“She knows what she is talking about [and] is talented and likable,” the source says. “But Simon’s not in a rush to decide. The judges have to mentor on The X Factor ??? it’s more than just turning up for a few hours a week to appear on TV.”
Since Simon???s show is already a hit in the UK, this might turn out to be a worthwhile opportunity for Jessica ??? who probably has what it takes to be a great judge ??? may be another Paula Abdul!
