Just as Britney Spears’ estranged father Jamie dad is criticizing her, at the same time, Jessica Simpson’s father is ready to be her new father figure.
Joe Simpson is willing to manage Spears’ tumbling career, just the way he does it for his daughters Jessica and her sister, Ashlee. The former Baptist minister even tried to organize a meeting over the weekend.
As expected, there might be a diva-like rivalry between the two singers, one can rule that out as the two are no longer competitors. On one hand where Britney has made more than $100 million from records and endorsements, Simpson’s five albums got a very lukewarm response in the market. However, Joe was smart enough to steer his daughter into movies and lucrative appearances. Ashlee too had two No. 1 singles on the Billboard charts.
The Simpson girls publicly appreciate their manager father as Ashlee called Joe ‘a wonderful man’ in Harper’s Bazaar, and Jessica gifted him a Ferrari.
Spears was recently blasted by her father attributing her silly behavior to postpartum depression. He also said that her ex manager Rudolph was not be blamed for her stupid gigs.
Spears’s and Jessica’s spokespersons are tight lipped over the issue.
