Oh well, so here we have a retirement announcement. Its Joaquin Phoenix folks. With a majority of stars refusing to say goodbye to films even as age is gripping on them, Joaquin has decided to call it quits at 34 (he turned 34 just yesterday). However, he has a valid reason to support his decision – he wants to concentrate on his music career.
The two time Oscar-nominated actor was speaking on Extra TV when he made the candid revelation. He is best known for his portrayals of Commodus in Gladiator, and Johnny Cash in Walk the Line, both earning him a nomination for the Academy Awards.
Well, it seems Joaquin really wants to devote himself to music and doesn’t want to dilute his dedication by sharing it with acting. Anyway, the news is official and we have no option but to agree with his decision. As for Joaquin- the actor, he will always be missed!
