No matter how conveniently his recent actions have earned him the a$$hole tag, John Mayer is still not ready to accept the fact that he is one certified a$$hole. The a$$hole Gravity singer delivered some extra vocals at one of his recent concerts to convince fans that he wants to put his controversial comments (referring to his Playboy interview) behind him and start afresh as a good guy.
Contactmusic quotes him as telling fans at his concert in New York’s Madison Square Garden,
I hate to come off like an a*shole ever, and thank you guys for believing that I am not an a*shole. Never, ever in my entire life did I ever think that it would be a good idea to be an a*shole. But you know what? There’s plenty of a*sholes who think the same thing, so I have to thank you. It’s a clean me now, people, clean me.
I’m not sure if John has an idea, but he has just strengthened our belief (that he’s an a$$hole) with his golden words. You are free to read the above revelation as many times as you like to make yourselves comfortable that I’m not trying to burden him with anything. He has earned it.
