Wise decision! With due to respect to Scientology, I think John Travolta has every right to quit the religion, as his blind faith to an extent is responsible for the death of his young son.
Now that he has realized that it was a mistake to ignore the autism that inflicted Jett, just because Scientology does not identify any such condition, he cannot stay to the discipline with the same devotion as earlier.
The church authorities should be empathetic enough to respect his decision, but it’s unfortunate that that they’re claiming it as a wrong move by the high-profile practitioner.
I think it’s never a wise thing to conflict with the proven scientific conditions. There may be different ways to solve a problem, but ignoring a problem entirely is a stupidity.
