It seems to be the patch up season between fathers and celebrity daughters. Recently there were reports about Lindsay Lohan patching up with her father after a 2 year rift and now it seems to be Angelina Jolie’s time. The superstar ended her rift with her father Jon Voight on Christmas day last year with a telephonic conversation.
The pair did not have a word with each other ever since Voight had disclosed on national television in June 2002 that he hoped Jolie sought help for her serious emotional problems. Though over these 5 years there were several attempts to patch up from Voight’s end, none of the succeeded.
Eventually on Christmas in 2007 he said that he was very impressed with Angelina’s work on humanitarian grounds and complimented on her being a sensational actress.
Sources revealed that Angelina was celebrating christmas with her husband Brad Pitt and her four children. She spoke to Voight over the phone and though the call was a short one, but it meant the world for both father and daughter. The call looked positive and something on which they could build their estranged relation. The superstar’s father could not stop praising his daughter on the way she has been conducting her life, which was enough for the ice to be broken after 5 long years.
As for Angelina Jolie, she has hit the news in recent times more for her issues with sudden weight loss and now her patch up with her father. Fans of the actress will be delighted to see her personal life in order and would be expecting a lot out of her in her upcoming movies.
