You think the header looks funny? You are so on target, my friend! It IS funny, albeit with a familiar stink. Now that Jon and Kate Gosselin’s 10-year marriage has ended (for good), TLC has announced that the reality show will now be called Kate Plus Eight, beginning Nov. 2.
According to TLC, the show will continue to focus on the kids but with a deeper focus on Kate’s role as a single mother. US Magazine quotes TLC president Eileen O???Neill as saying,
Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family. The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate???s journey really resonates with our viewers.
Actually, this whole episode is nothing more than a shitload of cheap gimmickry to fool the audience and tweak the TRPs. And the only thing that makes sense at the moment, according to me, is to end this whole equation once and for all.
