Following the recent trend of rehab stints, Irish star Jonathan Rhys Meyers is the latest celebrity to check into a rehab facility.
The 29-year-old actor, whose has super hits like Mission Impossible III, Match Point and Elvis to his credit, has checked into rehab for some alchohol related problems. This is the second time, the actor is checking in rehab. Back in 2005, Meyers was treated at the Promises facility in Malibu, California.
In a media statement, his representative Meredith O’Sullivan said,
He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery.
After finishing the filming of August Rush with Terrence Howard, Rhys Meyers is currently working on U.S. cable series The Tudors. He is due to act in two other films, Bronte and Toussaint, scheduled later this year. The actor will resume shooting after the completion of the rehab program.
The actor who is following Lindsay Lohan, Robbie Williams and Britney Spears who have recently spent time in rehab, Dublin born Jonathan Rhys Meyers was once romantically linked to Ontario actress Estella Warren.
