Kate Moss has reportedly called upon her old friend Alexander McQueen to design a wedding dress for her impending marriage to Pete Doherty.
Kate is planning a £20,000 white dress featuring black lace detailing that will be ‘traditional but with a modern unique twist – typical of both Kate and Alexander’.
An anonymous close friend of Kate said, ‘In a way, he was the obvious choice as they have been thick as thieves for years. But he hadn’t taken it for granted and was overjoyed to be asked. Kate is the ultimate model and this is easily going to be the wedding of the year.’
Kate, who is reportedly planning to marry on her 33rd birthday in January, is currently busy putting together her first collection for TopShop and may now also be in line for a job offer from Simon Cowell.
‘I would like to offer Kate Moss a recording contract, whether she can sing or not,’ Cowell said last week. ‘The thing about Kate is that she’s a star – it’s the ‘Kate factor’. People attach themselves to her and instantly become interesting.’
