It seems that Kate Winslet has had enough of Hollywood, as the actress expressed her desire to be away from the spotlight for some time. According to Kate, she is feeling overexposed after winning the Oscar earlier this year for her movie, The Reader. The leading lady is planning for a stage role in a musical, which means that she desperately wants a break from Hollywood.
Winslet said, “I think I have to take time off. I’m sick of me and I’m sure everybody else is too! But I would love to do some theater. It would be a good challenge. I need to keep scaring myself. And that would sufficiently scare me. Maybe a musical or something completely different.”
Well, it seems to be a good idea for Kate. We hope she takes her time but also hope that she comes back soon to film work, as the screen would feel empty without her.
