Now, this is not an amusing news, especially for Katy Perry fans. Katy recently had to live a stupid moment just because of the stupidity of the folks at the NRJ Awards. As per reports, the perky singer was awarded the trophy for best international song at the NRJ Awards in Cannes, but only for a brief moment!
The confusion was the result of a mistake on the part of the vote-counters. Nikos Aliagas, the host of the show, cleared up the confusion and announced that the award was intended for Rihanna for Disturbia. Read more and check out the gallery after the jump.
What do you think about this ‘disturbing’ incident? Is it a pardonable act? I don’t think so because it is much more than what it seems at the first glance. Can you imagine the situation, had it been Lily Allen instead of Rihanna?!
Anyway, Katy did manage to grab the award for the best international album. Thankfully, this time it was not intended for someone else! Congratulations, Katy!!
