After celebrating the Katy Perry festival for the whole of last week, here’s fresh reason to love and adore Katy Perry. The perky singer has once again captured the top spot on the U.K. singles chart with her latest single California Gurls.

KATY PERRY has stormed to the top of the U.K. singles chart – the singer’s track CALIFORNIA GURLS debuted at number one on Sunday (27Jun10). The song marks Perry’s second British number one – she reached the top spot in 2008 with I Kissed A Girl. K’Naan’s soccer chant Wavin’ Flag held on to second position, while last week’s (20Jun10) highest entry, British rapper Dizzee Rascal’s Shout, slipped to third place.
Is anybody surprised? Well, I know no one can come up with an affirmative reply to that stupid question, because a single look at the delicious video is enough to tell you that it’s a winner all the way. Congratulations, Katy!!
