Ke$ha has once again kicked Lady GaGa on her butt to claim the top spot at a Billboard countdown, thanks to her hit song TiK ToK which has become a sort of anthem at every pop songs chart. Lady GaGa beat Leona Lewis’ 18-month-old record of 10,665 radio plays in a week at Billboard’s Pop Songs chart with her Bad Romance last week. And guess what, Ke$ha has captured the position with a record 11,224 spins in seven days.
According to Contactmusic,
Pop sensation KE$HA has shattered LADY GAGA’s week-old airplay record in America. Lady GaGa beat Leona Lewis’ 18-month-old record of 10,665 radio plays in a week when her Bad Romance topped Billboard’s Pop Songs chart last week (ends22Jan10), but Ke$ha’s TiK ToK, which has been America’s number one hit for the past five weeks, scored 11,224 spins in seven days to claim a new record.
I’m not a staunch follower of Ke$ha, but whoever has the ability to beat Lady GaGa at anything except her weird costumes is always welcome. Moreover, who’s got the courage to turn a deaf ear towards Tik Tok?! Not me, at least.
Congratulations, Ke$ha!
