After a string of good news for the first two weeks, the year 2011 has been struck by the celebrity breakup virus. Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend have split up folks. The two met while working together on 2005’s Pride & Prejudice but distance and career finally played villain and split this lovey-dovey couple into two incomplete halves.

A source tells PEOPLE that the couple, who had shared a London home overlooking Hyde Park, quietly broke up a few months ago, shortly after Knightley bought a house in the South of France, outside Nice. Distance and career “were both considerations,” the source says. “It was time for her to move on.”
I feel sad for Keira and Rupert because they were so into each other that breakup was a taboo word whenever I discussed this couple. May god give them enough strength to cope with the disappointing event and if possible, bring them close once again.
