The Wizard of Oz is an evergreen American fairy tale. The 1939 colour feature film on it had Judy Garland as Dorothy, who entered the collective consciousness of the country forever. Now Vogue tries to do a photo feature (by Annie Leibovitz) on the immortal story. Keira Knightley tries to step into the shoes of Judy garland, with quite a success. She lacks Garland’s sadness, but the smile is bewitching. One wonders at the timing of the feature. An updated version of My Fair Lady by Columbia Pictures is in the offing and Keira Knightley is a strong contender. Does she want to confirm her selection with the Vogue shoot? Maybe.
