Things got bit heated yesterday night at 2007 MTV Video Music Awards when Pamela Anderson’s ex husbands Kid Rock and Tommy Lee got into a slapfest during Alicia Keys’ performance at the Video Music Awards, resulting in both rockers being escorted by security out of the Pearl Theater in the Palms Casino Resort.
Both rockers were sitting close to each other at the ceremony when Rock smacked Lee. According to an onlooker in the audience,
They had each other at the necks, they were practically strangling each other.
But according to grapevine Tommy Lee is held responsible to have provoked Kid Rock by reintroducing his lap and pawing hands to Anderson.
After Lee was detained out, Rock was overhead saying in the lobby of casino,
I never hit nobody for nothing before. I told him to shut the f— up.
According to a Las Vegas Police Department spokesperson, Rock was cited for misdemeanor battery for his assault on Lee. Rock was issued a summons and he’ll need to return to Vegas for a future court date, and if convicted, he could face a $500 fine as well as up to six months in jail.
