Actress Kim Basinger, who is involved in a bitter legal feud with ex-hubby has hired a bodyguard to protect her daughter Ireland, after Kim’s former husband left an angry message on the girl’s phone.
Basinger has arranged 24-hour security for Ireland after her father called the 11-year-old a ‘rude, thoughtless little pig’ on the voicemail, which was secured by the media and it brought the bitter feud in open.
The mother and daughter were last seen together in Los Angeles over the weekend, accompanied by a hefty security man. Although, Baldwin has publicly apologized for his rude comments, he has been legally banned from seeing his daughter before a court hearing on May 4.
On his website, Baldwin wrote,
I am sorry for what happened. But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case. Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child.
Baldwin has also accused his ex-wife of leaking the voice mail tape to media, against the court’s order of sealing material related to their custody proceedings
