Actress Kim Cattrall had said once that she was doing the ‘Sex and the City’ movie only for money, and she has proved her point because she has been paid $6million to do the film. This amount is three times more than her fellow costars Cynthia Nixon and Kirsten Davis, who are merely paid $2million each. This is from the National Enquirer, print edition, November 26, 2007.
Cattrall is nowhere seen as more technically sound than Nixon and Davis and she is certainly not worth three times more to be paid. However, according to the Enquirer, Sarah Jessica Parker called it to be a hard bargain and still had lot of incentives to reward Cattrall.
This film was already due and it seems that they agreed to all the terms dictated by Kim so as to complete the film as soon as possible. But the actresses, who performed well and just wanted to do their jobs, were not treated well with salary.
Since 2004, Kim who is 51 year old has been dating a 28 year-old Canadian chef Alan Wyse. She has even posed for some desperate photo shoots in the past. May be now with some heavy cash in her account she will not need to do such things.
