The All Assam Koch Rajbongshi Yuva Chatra Sanmiloni has strongly opposed the demand of a separate Bodo state. A press note released by Mahesh Deka, joint secretary of the state body said that there had never been just one percent similarity between the socio-political situation of Andhra Pradesh and Assam. He said that the comparison between the two states were meaningless. The press release also said that the Bodos had already been enjoying supreme political rights and powers in BTAD areas with just twenty five percent majority, curtailing the fundamental rights of seventy five percent non Bodo people mostly Koch Rajbongshis.

The press note said that the formation of BTAD was unconstitutional in the sense that, vast non Bodo areas, mostly dominated by Koch Rajbongshi people had been included in it. Bodos have been occupying most of the high ranking government jobs in Assam taking advantage of quota and backlogs. The formation of BTAD could never bring peace to the region. The daily killing of hundreds of people in BTAD would justify it, the press release said.

The Koch Rajbongshi people feel that the formation of separate Bodo state would create Palestine like situation in Assam where general people, mostly Koch Rajbongshis would suffer. The All Assam Koch Rajbongshi Yuva Chatra Sanmiloni has appealed all the democratic forces of Assam to unite against any move to divide Assam. The Sanmiloni said that the rights of various ethnic groups of Assam could be well protected within the present boundaries of Assam.

The leaders of the organization warned that Koch Rajbongshi people would not hesitate to launch agitation for their homeland , Kamatapur if any move was made to divide Assam. An important meeting of the state body of the organization has been convened at Chilarai Bhawan,Boko on January 3,2010 to discuss the matter. The press note requests all the central committee members, president and secretaries of the district committees have been asked to attend the meeting..
