Actor David Carradine was found dead Thursday in his suite at Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. He was found sitting in a wardrobe with a rope around his neck and body. After preliminary investigations, the police said it’s a case of suicide and ruled out any foul play.

The 72-year-old actor was in Bangkok shooting the movie “Stretch.” His body was found by a hotel maid after he failed to appear for a meal with the rest of the film crew on Wednesday.

Carradine started his acting career as a TV actor in the ’70s TV series Kung Fu and went on to act in more than 100 feature films with ace directors such as Martin Scorsese, Ingmar Bergman and Hal Ashby. He is best remembered for his role as Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin priest, in the TV series Kung Fu and as leader of an assassin squad in Quentin Tarantino’s mega-hit Kill Bill.

It is really a shocking news for his fans. It’s too hard to believe that the tough and good-spirited actor has committed suicide. Anyway, our deepest condolences go out to his family. He will always be remembered by the fans.

R.I.P. David Carradine.
